Julia McDonald is a finance professional and qualified accountant with extensive experience across the public sector.  Her finance career began in KPMG where she worked in internal and external audit across a range of public sector bodies.  Following this she moved to the NHS where she worked as Assistant Director of Finance within NHS 24.  For the last decade she has worked the Department for International Development and latterly the Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office (FCDO) where she has worked in a range of roles from finance business partnering to financial accounting and most recently as FCDO’s Head of Financial Planning.  Julia has a passion for value for money and efficiency, and since April 2022 has worked as Treasurer for Doctors of the World.
