Alexandra is a purpose-driven international leader with over 20 years’ experience across sustainability, social justice, and global partnerships. She has held senior roles with organisations including WaterAid, Mercy Corps, the World Economic Forum, Amnesty International, and JCWI, delivering impactful results in partnerships, communications, and fundraising. Combining executive leadership with board-level governance, she connects organisations, NGOs, and institutions to drive lasting, systemic change.

Anna Miller, Head of Policy and Advocacy
Anna is a policy and research specialist with expertise in human rights, migration, and health. Having previously headed the Médecins du Monde European Observatory programme, she now leads Doctors of the World UK’s policy work, parliamentary advocacy, and research projects. Bringing together specialist knowledge of parliamentary systems and policy development with expertise in evidence collection and community-based research, she has a proven track record of influencing policy to drive social change.

Amardeep Kamboz, Head of Services
Amar leads Doctors of the World UK’s frontline services supporting people excluded from healthcare and experiencing multiple forms of social and health inequality. Her background spans UK and international humanitarian contexts, including delivering a frontline operational response during the 2014 Ebola pandemic in West Africa, and roles at the International Rescue Committee and the International Planned Parenthood Federation supporting international health programmes. She has particular expertise in health inequity, barriers to healthcare access, and the realities of delivering frontline healthcare services for excluded communities.

Uloaku Ikegwu, Head of Finance
Uloo is the Head of Finance at Doctors of the World UK, with over 20 years of experience across finance, governance, and operational leadership in the charity and non-profit sector. An FCCA qualified finance professional, she leads the organisation’s financial management, reporting, compliance, and strategic finance functions. Known for her approachable leadership style and commitment to continuous improvement, Uloo is passionate about supporting mission-driven organisations to achieve lasting impact through strong financial management and strategic support. In her spare time, she enjoys sewing.

Samantha Braithwaite, Head of Communications and Fundraising
Sam joined Doctors of the World UK in November 2025, bringing over 13 years’ experience in fundraising for UK and international healthcare charities. She uses fundraising and storytelling to support the organisation’s mission to make healthcare accessible to all and welcomes opportunities to connect and collaborate.
