Today, the High Court found that the Home Secretary acted unlawfully by accommodating three vulnerable asylum seekers at a containment site at RAF Wethersfield.

Doctors of the World and Médecins Sans Frontières are issuing an urgent call to the UK government to close mass asylum camp, due to severe mental health crises among people accommodated at the site.

Today the High Court will hear a challenge, taken by four people seeking asylum in the UK who have been accommodated in RAF Wethersfield, to Home Secretary’s use of the controversial military site as asylum accommodation.  

Doctors of the World (DOTW) UK, have launched a new service, providing primary healthcare to people seeking asylum who are accommodated at the former RAF site in Wethersfield, Essex. The service is run in partnership with Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF), This collaboration marks the first time MSF has extended its reach to those seeking asylum in the UK.
