European Projects

How can we accept that millions of people, living in wealthy areas of the world are still excluded from institutional healthcare assistance?

How can we accept, in an environment where the respect of human rights is unanimously regarded as a common goal, that access to healthcare is a daily struggle for many human beings, such as illegal migrants, those living in poverty, on the streets or working in the sex industry, etc.?

Doctors of the World is determined to fight and find a solution to this alarming situation. It is therefore our priority to fight the restrictions to healthcare both internationally but also in our own backyard. One of our major multinational activities consists in helping the delivery of healthcare services to people.

Our teams offer a helping hand to a population unable to access institutional healthcare distribution channels. We provide them with primary healthcare and psychological assistance, and orient them towards institutions that could help them on a long-term basis.
Here is an example of four of our European projects to help the most vulnerable:

MdM France    MdM Germany    MdM Portugal
