Why Sponsor Doctors of the World?

- Notoriety: Doctors of the World is a globally recognised humanitarian organisation through the efficiency and overarching scope of its action and advocacy.

- International and local presence:  From London to Hanoi, via Bogota and Gaza, we run over 89 missions in 54 developed and developing countries.

- Expertise: Our volunteers are highly trained medical and non-medical professionals specifically adapted to the project they are chosen to lead

- Diversity of our missions: Doctors of the World's work covers three different types of intervention. Firstly, we cover emergency work, such as natural disasters and wars/conflict situations. Secondly, we tackle post-emergency-situations, helping people to restore their healthcare system after an emergency, an indispensable step towards further rehabilitation. Thirdly, we also focus on long term development, aiming to bring sustainable and lasting solutions by tackling the effects of long term poverty and exclusion on healthcare, through transferable skills.

- Initiatives on the field: Alongside strongly valuing a high level of communication with other NGOs on the field to avoid duplication, we also carry out an active consultation process with the local community to adapt to their needs and requirements.

- Priority access to the media: Through the power of our campaigning and advocacy over central issues such as the universal free access to primary care or the restrictions on access to primary care for migrants in the UK, Doctors of the World UK achieves broad media coverage.
