REGISTRATION FOR THE ROYAL PARKS IS NOW CLOSED!
Thanks to everyone who signed up for this half marathon and decided to run with Doctors of the World UK!
The Royal Parks Foundation, a charity for the eight Royal Parks, is running its 13,1 mile course, starting and ending in Hyde Park. It will take you through London's green diamond: Hyde Park, Kensington Gardens, Green Park, St James's Park, as well as running along the River Thames.
You and the other 12,500 runners will enjoy a superb view of the famous monuments such as Buckingham Palace, the Houses of Parliament, Marble Arch, the London Eye and the Royal Albert Hall along the way.
Where your money is going?
- 1 mile = £25 could pay for treatments for 2 people infected by malaria the vaccinations kits need to protect them from life-threatening diseases
- 3 mile = £100 could give food and shelter to ten children who are victims of the war in DRC.
- 6 mile = £200 could pay for a "Smarter than AIDS" kit to protect dozens of teenage street sex workers in Burma(Myanmar)
- 9 mile = £300 could change two children's lives through cleft lip surgery
- 13.5 mile= £350 could pay for a measles vaccination for 4000 children.

A fabulous WALK for everyone through four Royal Parks, plus historic central London is NOW AVAILABLE! JOIN THE WALKING TEAM on October 10th 2010.
Choose "heritage" to learn about the amazing 500-year history of the Parks or "hearts", our singles walking group, to find that special someone for future expeditions whilst raising funds for Doctors of the World UK.
