Doctors of the World has deployed mobile clinics to three sites in the districts of Nowshera and Charsadda, reaching 50,000 people. 

Marc Tyrant, head of the programme: "We are seeing hundreds of people a day at each site, many are women and children.  The most immediate and urgent need is providing shelter, drinking water and food to the disaster victims"

Haiti's earthquake struck on January 12th this year.  Doctors of the World continues to help those affected by the disaster.  Watch our video about our work providing access to healthcare to those affected by the crisis.  

After virtually the entire city being destroyed the rebuild is slow and difficult. Doctors of the World volunteers are still providing health care to those who are hurt and suffering: from nurses to doctors, we are supporting those Haitians still in need.

Project:London needs volunteer doctors

Project:London is an advocacy project part of Doctors of the World UK, established in 2006 that provides information, advice and practical assistance to vulnerable people to help them access NHS and other services.  In order to reach the most hard-to-reach groups, Project:London's volunteers team provide basic healthcare in the interim period, until these people reach mainstream services. 

We are currently looking for volunteer doctors who are available two or more afternoons per month on either Monday, Wednesday, Friday from 2pm to 6pm.
